MKZ

Posted by on June 18, 2009

I try to eat almost every week at the MKZ, where they offer a three course vegan meal for only 5 euros. When the weather is nice, you can sit in the garden between the roses :)

Ps. Check out my friend Maaike’s band Dusty Blinds, they are awesome-o!

TESTING TESTING 1 2 3

Posted by on June 16, 2009

Two photos of the first roll I shot with my Konica C35 EF-P, I was testing it out. It’s a nice camera, but doesn’t do well inside. But I like the colours :) I have some more cameras to test out in the coming 4/5 weeks, because I also want to bring an analogue one with me on holiday.

Are you making holidayplans already?

STENCIL

Posted by on June 8, 2009

The place where I stencil my posters and flyers is located in a basement near a canal in Amsterdam. I quite like the place. We stencilled 2 designs this time, the one I showed you this week and this one. Reminds me I have to update my portfolio!!

POP-UP

Posted by on June 8, 2009

Still have so many pictures to post, but why don’t I just start with the ones I took last Saturday at the opening party of the Pop-Up Cafe (go, if you are in the neighbourhood!).

My weekend was great, it included a nice dinner at an Indian restaurant, buying a new sleeping bag and stencilling posters and flyers. How was yours?

OH LAPPIE

Posted by on June 5, 2009

Lappie has been in the hospital for quite some time now :( I hope she comes back real soon, I miss her in my street! Have a great weekend!

MEANWHILE…

Posted by on May 27, 2009

In the meanwhile I am busy painting a wooden wall (about 40 meters long, with some friends) for a Dutch fashion company – pictures later :)

These pictures above are from Art Amsterdam. If you look close you can see the hairs growing out of the ’skin’ on the first photo. Unfortunately I don’t know the artists name…maybe one of you knows?

PREPARATIONS

Posted by on May 19, 2009

Some more pictures of Art Amsterdam today. The first picture is from a work of Charlie Roberts (check the other artists represented by that gallery too!), who is amaaaaazing!

Tomorrow my favourite niece is getting married and I’m very excited about that :) Yesterday I’ve been shopping all day and today there are some preparations left to do plus some other things from my to-do-list.

Enjoy today!

ART AMSTERDAM PART 1

Posted by on May 17, 2009

Because Gemma got free tickets, we went to Art Amsterdam on Friday. Art Amsterdam is a huge exhibition where galleries present their artists. After 4 hours of walking and seeing all those images, we were exhausted, but I really had a good time! These are the first photos I will show you, I have a lot more!

I really liked the work of Jan Henderikse and Constant Dullaart (I always like his work actually).

SATURDAY

Posted by on May 16, 2009

Yeah, weekend! We slept in, had a nice breakfast and this afternoon a birthdayparty. This week I’ve been busy with layouting a book, the first version had to be finished yesterday and it was, so I’m happy about that!
Yesterday, Gemma and I went to Art Amsterdam, which was exhausting, but nice! I will show those pictures tomorrow!

Don’t you think that face in the last picture is pretty funny? :)
Happy weekend!!

BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS AND A MAP

Posted by on May 11, 2009

After a nice lunch, I went to the bookmarket. I didn’t buy any books, but I did buy a really beautiful map of the Stille Oceaan (the Pacific Ocean).
